VPride upholds and cherishes the UN's adoption of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights signed on the 10th of December 1948. This states that All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. However In 2011 it was revised that members of the LGBTQ+ were not being treated with the rights stated in the declaration. One issue being faced in the modern world is the continual discrimination and exclusion of members of the LGBTQ+ community, this impacts the individuals mental health which ultimately effects everyone in the long run. Here is a video done by The UN Human Rights demonstrating; The Price of Exclusion.

The opening words of the United Nations declaration of human rights are unequivocal, All human beings are born equal in dignity and right. Equality and Non-discrimination, two of the fundamental principals and depending international human rights law also guide the protection of people of diverse sexual orientation, and gender identity and expression. The Vanuatu CSOs call for the protection of Human Rights from Climate Change. The universal Declaration of Human Rights promises us certain fundamental human rights to be universally protected.
