VPride held two SOGIE based workshops proudly funded by UNDP and APTC. On the 10th and 12th of May 2022, VPride facilitated a workshop specifically on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE). The workshop was held at the Grand Hotel in Port Vila highlighting issues around SOGIE in Vanuatu Society. The workshop unfolded topics around understanding SOGIE, Stigma and Discrimination in accessing public services, and best practices toward SOGIE.

VPride invited its various partners and donors to participate in the workshop to share the significance of the inclusion of SOGIE. Specific areas presented in the two-day workshop were Education, Health, and Justice.

We’d like to thank our participants for their participation and for sharing ideas, realities, and lived experiences to empower SOGIE individuals’ confidence and Self-esteem. VPride honors the working relationship of her partners and funders present in the room.
