VPride upholds and cherishes the UN’s adoption of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights signed on the 10th of December 1948. This states that All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. However In 2011 it was revised that members of the LGBTQ+ were not being treated with the rights stated in the declaration. One issue being faced in the modern world is the continual discrimination and exclusion of members of the LGBTQ+ community, this impacts the individuals mental health which ultimately effects everyone in the long run.
